No More Red Rings?

A newer version of the Xbox 360 has been released with an apparent fix on the issue of the three red rings. One of the major things that should be put to Microsoft is, why wasn’t this problem fixed within the first year of launch?

The console was released back in 2005 and it became clear there were problems with it later in the month when people started to experience the red rings of death for the very first time. You know its control throwing time when the green lights on the front turn to three red lights. This of course means that there is no way that your console is going to be able to be used again without repair.

It is unbeliveable to think that the console has been out for four years and the solution to the problem has only just been put into the consoles. What was the issue?

Well basically as the console got hotter it would start to melt the soldering iron on the top of one of the major components. There is no way at all that this can be fixed once you see this which is why they are called the rings of death. There are ways in which you can add a short fix to the problem and the main one is actually by wrapping the console in a cold towel. Doing this will help you cool down the console. This is only meant to fix the console for a very short amount of time so you will indeed have to send it off at some point.

It isn’t really known why Microsoft have taken such a long time do fix this problem as it was costing them a lot of money to actually repair the consoles for free.

So whether it was the cable ties, Deutsch connectors or of course the electrical components at least they have fixed it.
